Kicking it in Karlsruhe

I reached Karlsruhe around 3pm. I parked my car and went for a walk. The first thing I saw was a cathedral under renovation. I walked along a boulevard, passing many small shops, restaurants and apartments.

I passed a church with a large statue of Martin Luther in the front. The windows were adorned with a type of stained glass I had never noticed before. The pieces of glass were very small and numerous. I wondered what the inside of the church would look like when the sun shines through windows like this.

Karlsruhe has a public square with several monuments.

Just as it was starting to get dark I ate dinner at a small cafe that served various sausages and fries. It was good, but I was starting to get tired. I wanted to see more, but I decided to head back to Haguenau.
